It is hidden when left blank * **Searchable:** The catalogue free-text filter now matches on the internal code as well as ISBN, title, author and price * **Sample data includes it:** Install Sample Data now seeds an internal code for each demo book * **CSV and Excel import/export updated:** internal_code is the sixteenth column of the books sample file and is read back on import. A signed-in user could craft that value to read data they were never meant to see, including WordPress account records * **Filter values are now strictly numeric:** The selected value is validated as a whole number the moment it is read, so all three filters are covered by a single check * **All three queries now use prepared statements:** Each filter query binds its value through a numeric placeholder instead of building the query as text * **Permission check added:** The filter request now confirms the caller is allowed to view that module — book, section and borrower lists each require their own listing permission, so subscribers and other non-library roles are refused * **Module and filter pairing locked down:** Only the three intended module/filter combinations are accepted, and the list template loaded in response is chosen from a fixed internal list rather than from the request * Reported by João Ramos Maciel, coordinated through Erwan Le Rousseau of the WPScan and Jetpack security team.
